As a wounded soldier in WWI he turned into the best-known expatriate who strongly criticized the glorification of war. The style of writing that he introduced was tough and simplified which also set a new standard for writing. A Time reporter called his style “round stones polished by rain and wind.” Two of the books he is best known for are The Sun Also Rises and A Farewell to Arms.
Babe Ruth was a famous baseball player during the 1920's who had the record for the most home runs until Barry Bonds. People would come from all over the country to watch him play. He represented the 1920's because his baseball career urged more people to watch. Even today in professional baseball, many people are fans and follow their favorite team.
